This spring, I injured myself gardening. Last week, I injured myself sitting down. I've got to stop this high-risk behavior. Maybe I'll take up sky-diving.
Sigh. But am still riding. Have been doing 100+ minute sessions on the trainer. Riding and stretching backward over a Swiss ball really help ease the pain.

Oh man, sorry to hear about the injuries, Ted. Don't let the them get the best of you. You just gotta pick yourself up and start sitting again ;-)
Earlier this year I had a string of sleeping related injuries. It happens. Take comfort in the fact that one of Ken Griffey Jr.'s season-ending injuries was from slipping in the shower.
On another note, I rode to West Seattle the other night, and Alaskan Way was like a cyclocross course. 1-2" of slick mud blanketing parts of the bike lane, and of course crater-size potholes. If you're riding that route very often, you have my highest respect!
LOL!! "pick yourself up and start sitting again"
I'm safe from sleep-related injuries -- don't seem to be doing much of that!
Yeah, I ride on Alaskan Way. Not sure how all that permanent mud got there -- that seems to be a new route feature. I seem to have memorized a safe way through, but now that I ride home in the dark, I slow down as I approach, let some hot shot pass me and start riding through, and then I ride about 5 bike lengths behind. Cuz if he falls and seriously injures himself, I want to be able to go around ;-)
@mud on Alaskan: after each commute I have to wash off the "grime tan" from the bottom of my knickers to the tops of my socks. I keep telling myself it's like Paris-Roubaix...
